SENDA / PYRENEES

About SENDA

An independent guide to the Pyrenees for people who like to find their own way.

Different ways into the mountains

SENDA helps you choose a rewarding Pyrenees day: a lake walk, via ferrata, river trip, flight or ski holiday. For mountain biking and summit ascents, we explain the programme’s character and the experience it requires. We cover Spain, France and Andorra; foothill itineraries are identified in their region descriptions. Montserrat has its own section as a separate Catalan massif beyond the Pyrenees.

How the content is prepared

This editorial guide was prepared with AI assistance using public information from parks, tourism organisations, municipalities and operators. Descriptions are not accounts of personal visits. Every route cites its sources; times and distances refer to a particular variant where identified.

What a source check means

The date records a review of published information, not an inspection of a trail or fixed equipment. The ferrata directory is a researched selection whose completeness has not been confirmed. Check the source before travelling. The absence of a closure notice does not establish that a route is open.

Our selection principles

We look for distinctive scenery and useful choices for different levels of experience. Hiking labels are editorial simplifications for snow-free conditions, not official grades. Ferratas retain their source’s grading system. A short guide does not replace technical training.

Photography and privacy

Photos use the stated open licences and may be optimised or cropped. We include no advertising analytics, registration or contact-collection forms. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information. Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap, which receives technical information about those browser requests. Packing-list checks are saved only in your browser.
