Rock climbing
In Agulles, walking between towers and climbing one of them are different undertakings. A roped ascent changes the landscape’s scale: woodland drops below and neighbouring needles surround a small summit. Local guides offer ridge routes matched to the rope team’s experience. On a first visit, choose one agreed objective and give the approach, climbing and descent proper attention. A face that appears gently angled from a distance does not guarantee an easy route. Protection and descent arrangements can vary considerably between neighbouring rocks, even when their height and appearance seem similar.

- Choose the exact needle and route with the guide; Agulles alone is not a complete plan.
- Review restrictions and the approach from Can Maçana or El Bruc.
- Carry water for the day and agree descent, rope requirements and wind alternatives.
