Montserrat / Equipped gullies

Sajolida, Bugaders and Torrent del Pont: by permit

A separate Catalan massifPermit / restrictions apply

Equipped gullies

This canyon system reveals another Montserrat: excavated passages, pools in the conglomerate and successive roped descents. The experience comes from moving inside the rock rather than looking across it from a summit. Park access is regulated, so agree the precise line and obtain permission before finalising the day. Some pools retain water; dry canyoning does not guarantee dry clothing. A guide can check the authorised route, rope equipment and exit from Torrent del Pont. Adding neighbouring branches independently changes both the technical undertaking and the permissions that may be required.

Before your trip

  • Apply at least 5 working days ahead and confirm availability within the daily quota.
  • The ordinary permit period is 15 August–15 November; confirm every included section.
  • Plan for water-filled pools, rainfall and the exit; do not assume Torrent del Pont is unrestricted.
