Tres en Ratlla / Canal Roja: dry canyon

A separate Catalan massif

Equipped gullies

Canal Roja, also known as Tres en Ratlla, explores Montserrat’s southern side through narrow rock passages and roped descents. It is a technical dry canyon rather than a streamside walk or a ferrata with a continuous safety cable. Treat it as a standalone guided objective, allowing time for the approach and descent skills. Dry describes the route’s usual character, not a guarantee that pools or runoff will be absent after rain. Do not automatically combine it with neighbouring Joc de l’Oca; that separate line’s access and equipment require their own assessment.
