Trail running
Cursa de l’Alba demonstrates how demanding a Mediterranean massif can be. The route from Collbató combines sustained climbing, stairways in central Montserrat and a technical descent. It is a useful reference for runners already able to manage effort on rocky terrain. Prepare for an organised race using the map and rules of that specific edition; last year’s track does not guarantee the current course. For independent training, choose permitted paths and a distance suited to your fitness. Slow down on narrow sections and give walkers room, particularly around the monastery and popular viewpoints.
