The upper Camous ferrata opens a higher, wider perspective over the Aure valley. It has a more sporting character and a longer approach than Tucaou. Climb it independently or link both routes into a longer day, after studying the connecting path and descent.

This is the upper line at Camous in the Aure valley, distinct from Coumély near Gavarnie. A CC Aure Louron order dated 24 June 2026 authorized use of the Camous ferrata from 28 June after a temporary ban. Check newer notices and study the connecting path and steep descent before travelling: that dated order does not certify the equipment's current condition.
