Montserrat’s conglomerate towers are included separately: this Catalan Prelittoral massif is geographically outside the Pyrenees. Combine the monastery with the Camí dels Degotalls; its easy character does not extend to the rocky trails above. For longer routes, account for heat, ascent, cliff edges and limited road-access capacity.

Before you visit

Camping & bivouacs

Wild camping is prohibited throughout the park. Ask the information office about bivouacs and authorised overnight stays; altitude does not create an exemption.

Lighting fires is prohibited. Ask the park specifically about camping stoves and current fire-risk restrictions.

Arrive by road or leave the car below and use the rack railway or cable car. Check parking and the last return service before your visit.

Wheeled traffic, including bicycles, is limited to tracks and roads open to the public. Walkers should follow signs; even short routes run beside rock faces.
