Camping & bivouacs
The park distinguishes an overnight bivouac from prolonged camping: pitch in the evening and remove the tent in the morning. This is visitor guidance, not permission for every plot. Check local restrictions and landowner consent with the municipality or refuge.

Fire use is governed by Ariège prefectural rules, with possible additional summer restrictions. Before using a campfire, barbecue or stove, check the order valid on your travel date. Permission to stay overnight does not override fire restrictions.

The park asks for dogs on leads, especially near livestock. Check access to individual protected sites and give herds a wide berth.

Ferme d’Icart in Montels is a park information base. Check the chosen valley’s road and parking separately for mountain outings; the general park pin is not a trailhead. Review snow conditions and pass access in the colder months.

Cycling is among the park’s visitor activities. Choose routes intended for bicycles and check restrictions in individual reserves, forest roads and grazing areas. A walking route on a map does not automatically establish MTB access.
