Camping & bivouacs
Lightweight dusk-to-dawn bivouac may be tolerated near refuges and marked trails, with exceptions in strongly protected zones. Confirm the site with its manager.

Fire is prohibited in natural areas except specified exemptions. Check daily summer restrictions; a built barbecue does not guarantee permission. Ask specifically about stove conditions.

Rules vary by reserve: the official overview prohibits dogs in Py, Mantet and Eyne; elsewhere a lead may be required. Check the entire route, especially when crossing from the wider park into a nature reserve.

Maison du Parc is at La Bastide near Olette. Check parking, shuttles and seasonal access separately for lakes, reserves and high valleys. Fire danger or snow can change road access independently of the information centre’s opening hours.

Cycling routes exist, but this does not permit MTB on every path. Use designated itineraries; local intermunicipal authorities manage trails and reserves may impose their own conditions. Avoid shortcuts through vegetation and wetlands.
