Guara reveals the southern foothills through deep limestone canyons, dry slopes and historic villages. Walking, birdwatching and technical canyoning share this landscape. With children, begin at the Bierge visitor centre and choose short walks near villages; entering a canyon requires specific preparation and an assessment of water conditions.

Before you visit

Camping & bivouacs

Wild camping is prohibited. The high mountain exception requires over 1,500 m and at least two hours from vehicle access. Check the exact location.

Lighting fires is prohibited. Ask the park specifically about camping stoves and current fire-risk restrictions.

Keep dogs on a lead and away from wildlife and livestock.

Use authorised access roads and never block rural tracks. Legal motorhome overnight locations are in campsites, not automatically in canyon car parks.
