Zipline above Llac del Forn

The Canillo gondola climbs to the Mon(t) Magic summer park, where a zipline crosses the slope above the small Llac del Forn. Starting at Planells del Forn, the line descends towards the lake, linking different levels of the mountain park. It adds an aerial moment to a day in Andorra while leaving room for walks and other activities. Gondola access and the zipline may be covered by different passes. Decide whether you want just this experience or a fuller park visit before buying, and check the final descent time.

Segudet: canyoning beside Ordino

Beside Ordino, the short Segudet gorge offers a compact introduction to canyoning in the Andorran mountains. As the descent begins, the path and open slope give way to the streambed, rock steps and working with the equipment. Its modest length leaves room for a valley walk afterwards, once the approach and briefing are included. Official tourism information calls the canyon easy but specifically warns about strong flow and storms at its head. Whether it suits a first experience therefore depends on the guide’s assessment of the actual water conditions.

Pal Arinsal Bike Park

Wooded descents above La Massana and open upper slopes make Pal Arinsal a rewarding place to spend a day developing riding technique. Lifts let you repeat a familiar line and progress without using all your energy on climbs. Distinguish learning areas, enduro trails and serious downhill tracks: sharing a destination with a World Cup course does not imply identical requirements. Choose a few suitable lines and learn them steadily. The mountain scenery deserves its own pauses, leaving your attention on the surface, movement and other riders during descents.

Grandvalira

Grandvalira suits a trip built around discovering a different mountainside each day. Sectors stretching from Encamp and Canillo to Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa connect pistes, learning areas and open upper slopes. The key is managing the scale of your plan. Beginners benefit from a convenient school near their base; confident skiers can explore longer connections, while mixed groups need clear meeting arrangements. Views change as you cross mountain bowls. Later in the day, watch the final lifts needed to return comfortably to your accommodation.

Ordino Arcalís

Ordino Arcalís offers a more concentrated mountain setting: after travelling up the valley, you enter high bowls and slopes whose shape defines the experience. The resort is known for freeride, but also provides prepared pistes and learning areas. Keep those two approaches separate when choosing a trip. For steady progress, focus on suitable runs; leaving them requires different skills, snow assessment and specialist support. It particularly suits skiers who value the mountain's character and adapt their aims to the weather rather than counting descents alone.

Summit ascentsAndorra · La Massana · Parc Natural del Comapedrosa

Comapedrosa

Andorra's highest mountain rewards the entire ascent: forest near Arinsal, a more open valley by the refuge, Estany Negre's dark water and a stony upper ridge. As you climb, resort Andorra drops away beneath a wider mountain horizon. In dry summer conditions this is a goal for prepared mountain walkers comfortable with sustained effort and uneven ground. Snow patches change the task, and descending requires as much attention as climbing. Choose the normal variant beforehand rather than adding an unfamiliar circuit simply because it looks shorter on a map.
