For a first visit, choose one valley as your base. Torla gives access to Ordesa, Espot to Sant Maurici and Benasque to the Maladeta area. These suit different trips: daily transfers between them can take time away from the trails. Further west, Irati offers a different pace and landscape from the high lakes. The route cards describe particular variants so a short outing does not unexpectedly become a long mountain day.
